  1. The only way life on this planet will ever get any better is if we humans stop having babies.  Are you willing to do that?

  2. top contributor or not that answer is counterproductive and he should be ashamed for giving such a bogus answer to one of the people wanting to help. lord knows there aren't enough as it is. anyway stopping the cutting down of trees is a good thing to slow down, I say slow down because you will never stop it all together, there is to much money involved for people to quite completely. but you could join an eviromentalist group, or become a scientist and promote the awareness of the problem and fight to get laws that protect trees. also over foresting, while important, is only one of many nature saving causes you can fight for. there is also a huge problem with poaching that you could get active to prevent, also the worlds oceans are being over fished and the reefs are dying because of this and pollution, you could fight for those things. also pollution in general. get a job at a recycling plant, that would help. even buy products for your home that are earth friendly. like those energy efficient light bulbs, donate even a little money to charities, human , animal, plant, whatever charities are good. (make sure its legit though) , volunteer time at shelters or other places. at any rate do some research and do what you can. good luck :)

  3. Stop destroying their habitats, stop pollution, stop hunting them, leave them to their habitat.(Because some people always wanted to take care of animals by taking them away to their habitat, like the forest, i also want to do that but it's not good because the more you do that, the more they will be endangered.)

    Hope i helped.

P.S., don't listen to the first guy who answered,(Jim) because he is a bit crazy.

  4. Jim's point is valid. We increase our population at the expense of other species. However, it is an over-simplification. Worldwide, the greatest threat to wildlife is loss of habitat, degradation of habitat and fragmentation of habitat. To save the animals you need to save and properly manage their habitats. Each animal has different habitat needs so threatened/endangered species will vary depending on location. If you want to be active locally, learn which animals and habitats are threatened in your area and join a group working to save them. For example, where I live the pine barrens make up a very small portion of the landscape but the land is easily developed. Many species depend on this habitat and consequently there are a number of groups working to protect the pine barrens.

  5. Well first of all that is a very good thing that you are willing to help animals.

Secondly - don't use animal products like shawls, ash tray, paint brushes, leather products etc. which have been obtained from animals especially endangered one's.

Thirdly - Don't visit circuses which have animals in them. Animals like tigers, elephants belong in the forest and they serve a far more better purpose in forests than in circuses.

Fourthly you can help them yourself by rescuing any injured or lost one's to the animal shelter.

Fifthly inform the police or your local SPCA about any illegal activity involving animals.

Sixthly - Don't buy pets especially exotic one's as these too belong to the forests rather than being our pets.

Seventhly - Turn vegetarian. Most of the sea creatures people eat are becoming more and more threatened like sharks etc.

Eight- Join sites like these -

    http://www.greenpeace.org/international/

    http://www.wwf.org/

    http://www.peta.org/

These sites require individuals like you who have passion for animals. You can do a lot from there.

And also spread the word as far as possible.

Get involved in their campaigns and use their services like sending email greetings which will help them in an indirect manner.

You can also create your own petition for saving animals on this site -
