Question:

Does anyone know how to setup a server on a Mac?

I installed apache or whatever it's called, but now I am having a horrible time trying to install MySql. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

    The easiest way to install everything is to download an application called MAMP and to turn off the version of apache that ships with Mac.

    Mamp includes PHP, Apache, MySQL and a nice control panel to start it all up or shut it down. It also comes with phpMyAdmin so that you can administer your MySQL databases.

    There are other options out there, such as XAMPP, but these are no where near as stable as MAMP.

    PS. MySQL is a serious pain to install - I've done it myself using the command line... then I found MAMP! lol
