  1. Ink on your new glasses ? What kind of ink...like ink from a pen ?

Ink that was on it when you got them, or ink you spilled on it ?

And where, on the lenses or on the frame ?

Different places or type of ink would need different ways to remove it...depending what you are talking about.

Ahhh ok, you mean on the demonstration lenses that are in the frame.

The markings don't come off usually, because those lenses are meant to be thrown away.

Those aren't lenses you are supposed to wear, they are just a cheap mica that could have lots of distortion, and can break into VERY sharp pieces and take out your eye along with it.

If you want to wear plain lenses with no power, then you have to get real ones cut for the frame. They are called PLANO lenses.

You can get that done at any optical store.

When you buy a blouse, you take the tags off it...those lenses already in the frame are the same thing as a tag...they are for the garbage can.

  2. Depending on the kind of ink used, there is a solution that will take off the markings, but it's  a very expensive optical solution. You would need to take the frame to an optical store and see if they can help you, or have the lenses replaced. We can make you new lenses with no prescription if it won't come off and you want them to "complete the look"!
