  1. You should soak it for several hours, changing the water frequently. That will get rid of all the excess salt.

  2. soak and rinse in fresh water till its rehydrated then use for the recipe !

  3. just get a new fish

  4. soak and rinse repeatedly to taste.

  5. you have to soak for several hours, changing the water frequently

  6. Leave in water or milk overnight, or at least 12h.

  7. d**n salty fish anyways... way to lower that cholesteral! I give my fish a few smacks (for good luck) then soak it in a tub of h20, this makes for happy fish

  8. rinse in fresh water  several times..(overnight)

  9. water soak

  10. Soak it in water and change it regularly, several times. Depending how you will be cooking it, the recipe might also help taking away some of the saltiness (whether you cook it with rice, pasta or potatoes, they will take some saltiness from it).

  11. Soak it in warm water for about 30 minutes, then rinse.  You will remove all the saltiness but not all the salt.
