Question:

Does anyone know how to use Daemon Tools to mount a program on a PC?

I'll just be honest here. I've got a torrent file with several expansion packs for The Sims 2, and it came with a Daemon Tools installer. Well, I tried installing the expansion packs without the DT program, and it doesn't work using the copied disk... so I figured that I'm gonna have to mount them on DT somehow.

The problem is, I lost the instructions that come with the torrent, and it would take WEEKS to get the torrent again JUST to get the instructions... so I'm not going to do that.

I've looked on a help site to try to figure out how to use the Daemon Tools program, but I'm still lost. Can someone please help me??

(btw, I'm not desperate enough to buy the games... I'd rather wait for The Sims 3 if I have to pay for it... I just want to play with the expansion packs for a while :P)

  1. 1) Run Daemon Tools

    2) In your system tray, you'll see the icon for the program

    3) Right-click the icon for options and go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM

    4) Select Number of Drives (however many you want from what it lists)

    5) Right-click the icon and go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM again

    6) Select the virtual CD/DVD drive and click Mount Image

    7) Find the CD or DVD image file you want to mount and open it

    8) Enjoy
