Does anyone know how to use PowerProducer?

I'm having a bit of trouble. I've tried downloading an online manual - it tell me that there is a problem with the file.

Ok, I have a JVC HDD camcorder an I've just come back from holiday and I want to burn my clips onto DVD. I've already done that however when I play them back, they come up as individual clips so I have to play each one separately. How can I make it into one long movie without having to stop at every clip?

I would really appreciate it if you could help :)

  1. Why not use the software that came with the camcorder? It's not brilliant, but at least it enables you to create discs with complete sequences of clips. There are loads of free trial downloads of the main applications now. The latest version of Cyberlink Power Direct (is it version 7 or 8?) is actually a pretty good bit of software now and ideal for newbies.

Windows Movie Maker is best avoided. Version 2 can't cope with the files your camcorder creates and although version 3 can, it's still a hopelessly out of date bit of software - as is most stuff from Microsoft.

  2. You need to use you a video editing program like PowerDirector.  It is available in two versions:  Deluxe and Ultra.

You have Windows Movie Maker for free.  We also recommend Sony Vegas Platinum and Pinnacle Studio for less than $100
