Does anyone know how traffic is from NH to Massachusetts?

Worried about the traffic and the like trying to get down there.. but... would there be a back road way to get down there?

Start out Deerfield, NH 03037-1611

End at Worcester, MA 01605-2126

Not concerned with the shortest time and/or shortest distance.

Looking for recommended alternative routes, avoiding the traffic.

Please do not use MapQuest for driving directions, MapQuest is so unreliable. I'm looking for alternative routes to Worcester, MA 01605-2126.

Looking for "back road" commute, looking to Back roads from now on! Not looking for much as far as quick routes but, wanting to avoid heavy traffic, while avoiding the highway.

Well, if you really want to avoid the highways, though 93 and 495 aren'tt hat bad in thos areas, you can take 101 past Manchester and pick up 13 south just south of Milford.  This will take you past Leominster and you've got a bunch of road choices from there if you want to avoid 190.

I'd just go to http://www.maps.google.com and put in your start/end points, then after it generates the route, click on avoid highways at the top of the directions on the left side.  This will keep you off the interstates and you can have a copy to reference on your trip.  Avoiding the interstates will add about an hour to your trip.
