I don't have any clue as to his statistics. Sometimes statistics can lie. So has anyone been watching this guy race? How well does he handle a car?

  1. He doing very well in the Camping World East Series, I think he's 3rd in points. He supposed to make his Nationwide debut any day now.

  2. I haven't seen him race any but from what I've heard from people who have followed his racing he's supposed to be pretty good. He is actually scheduled to make his first Nationwide start in a few weeks at Richmond in either the #33 or #21

I guess that means he will either be driving for RCR or KHI in the #33 since that car is locked in. I wouldn't mind that because Harvick was scheduled in the #33 for Richmond and maybe if Dillon is it in Kevin can drive the #21. Ohhh I feel bad for the rest of the field if he does hahaha.

  3. Not sure but I do know he is scheduled to run some Nationwide races before the year is over.  RCR has indicated that he will in all likelihood be in the # 3 when he enters Cup in the future.

Will there be a mass exodus of JR fans to RCR because of a number?    It's not a question of if but when.  Everyone that is attached to a number beware.

  4. Hey Stinky, yep I watch him every week. Some channel on Dish Network shows the Camping World East series races. He's doing very good.

He's only a rookie, too. He was up to 2nd in points in the east series, but after the race two weeks ago in New York he was found to have an illegal part or something, so he was given last place, and fell to third in points behind my favorite Trevor Bayne.

The East series was at the road course Lime Rock Park this past Saturday but I think he went off course and I think wrecked again and didn't finish very well. He was actually running second for part of the race, but when he wrecked he couldn't really get back in a rhythm and finished around 22nd.

From what I've seen so far, he drives clean for the most part, but he isn't afraid to hit anybody. He was pretty aggressive at the track in New York.

He's definetely good to be third in points in only his first year, and he already has 1 win and 6 top tens in 9 races.

But yeah, he can get aggressive but he also knows how to save his car until the end and almost always is runnin up front if he doesn't wreck or anything.

Out of he and Jeffrey Earnhardt it looks like Austin Dillon has the most potential. From the races I've got to see so far, Earnhardt rides around mid pack a lot, but usually is able to make a charge toward the end. Dillon seems to be up front the whole time and qualifies near the front and usually stays up there.

Dillon handles the car great. Someone almost spun him out at the Adirondack track but he made a nice save and kept going, I think he ended up third before he was penalized. All in all I think he'll have a great cup career, and it's not all hype. He's really good
