  1. She was against it and went up against Ted Stevens - told the feds to keep their money.

  2. No she wasn't

  3. No, she turned it down, she said if the people of Alaska wanted a bridge, they would build it themselves. I admire that.

  4. No she was not. In fact she was the one who stopped it from happening.

  5. Yes, Sarah Palin supported the Bridge project in Alaska, as long as financing was being obtained through Federal Congressional earmarks.

Here is how she responded to a question on the project when running for office in October 2006.

"5. Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?

Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now - while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist."

After she was elected she killed the project but only after the project became a national controversy and Congress put an end to the earmark.

Here's what she said in Aug. 2007 when she ended the project.

"It's clear that Congress has little interest in spending any more money on a bridge between Ketchikan and Gravina Island"

  6. No, she is the one that finally put a nail in its coffin. She also taxed the bejesus out of the oil companies.

How can someone give a thumbs down to "no she didn't" when everyone knows she was the person who killed it. Get a life, sheesh.

  7. This girl is stacking up huge gains for the Repubs!!

  8. It wasn't built because she refused the earmarks offered by Congress, it would have been a waste of taxpayers money.

  9. We are only 50 years old. We don't have sophistacated infrastructure like the lower 48 states have. We need the millions to build water, sewer, roads, etc. She was against the bridge and told them to shove it.
