Does anyone know if Avalon, the nightclub in Los Angeles is any good?

My date wants to take me there, and I've never been. How is it? Good music? Drinks? Dance floor?

It hits and misses depending on the night you go. The hip hop nights can get kinda cheesy, lots of Hollywood wanna-be's and flashy people. But then again, it's good people watching. The nights when they have electronic dj music or eclectic music are better in my opinion. The crowd tends to be less pretentious and fake.

It has two dance floors, and several bars. The drinks are a bit overpriced, but you don't usually have to wait very long to get one.

I'd say go. It's a Hollywood staple in the clubbing scene. It's been there forever, and you guys will have a good time =).

Yeah, Avalon is cool.  I would also check out Vanguard..It rocks!!  You can find pics of vanguard and other club info at the site below too.  Good luck!

My bf raves about Avalon. I have never been, but he loves to go when they play trans and house. Im not sure what nights play what music, but give it a shot.

its ok, it has plenty of room with a pretty big dance floor. hip hop top 10 music. when i go there i usually get bottle service because they are great. the vip lounge is away from the crowd basicly over looking the main crowd which is great if you hate crowds. all in all i would recommend it oh and theres also a club above that if u want to try it out, its real small though but people usually go there after hours.
