Question:

Does anyone know if Boraxo or Borax soap gets ride of fire ants?

I have a fire ant problem in New Mexico , and i've heard that

Borax or Boraxo gets rid of them ; if so what exactly do you use and how is it applied ; thanks

  1. Terro ant killers contain borax.  Work pretty well. For a while.....


  2. Use Grits. Sprinle right out of the container where you see ants or on the nest. They eat them, and drink water and it expands and kills them. Does not leave a residue like Borax does and is safe around pets and kids.

  3. it can kill the foraging ants but they will more than likely just avoid the area where it is placed and maybe break into several smaller mounds as they move away from the treated area....

    forget the grits...adult fire ants and most other types of adult ants are unable to eat , impossible for them to eat, solid foods...they survive on a liquid diet only, so it is sort of hard for them to eat grits then explode

  4. i make a pot of coffee after the coffee is done.

    put it around your house the aunt's disapear.
