This has been a hot topic. Rumor is that they plan on builing something in Livingston Parish and they already purchased 5,000 acres.

Disney purchases land all the time, Disney is not just a Theme park, they also own ABC television and have interests in many other businesses, So don't freak out and think you are getting a Disneyland. Ten years ago Disney purchased over a thousand acres in Chandler, Arizona. Guess what NO Disneyland, they built a ESPN satellite communication center.
