Does anyone know if FSX accelleration is a separate program from the original FSX?

i also have this in the games section... so those of you that say it should be in the games section, dont bother to answer this... i just think it'll be faster if i have it in the aircraft section...

  1. It is a add-on package for fsx. You need fsx to play with the acceleration pack. The pack includes a f-18, a p51D mustang and a helicopter (forget the name). It also includes 50 more missions that are all more exiting than the defult fsx missions.


  2. it is not a separate program.

    it still uses the same game codes/graphics engine/game data as FSX.

    all it does is add some aircraft, 50 or so missions, and Service Pack 2 for FSX which you can download separately, if you are not getting FSX acceleration

    you will need FSX or FSX deluxe to play FSX acceleration

    To enhance James' answer, its the F/A-18, P-51 Mustang, and the UH-60 BlackHawk

  3. Its an expansion pack. You need the FSX software to run it. It gives you more aircraft.
