Does anyone know if MA's in the Navy get to go out to sea often?

I just joined the Navy reserve and plan on taking as many active assignments as I can. I really want to be able to expeience life at sea. Does anyone know if the MA rating gets a chance to see the ships often or are they always on land?

MAA on all ships and stations of the Navy

They're either in Iraq or on ships.

They have sea/shore rotations just like all the other ratings. When on Shore Duty they maintain base security and are known as Shore Patrol. They deploy on every ship. They work in the brigs both on land and on ship.
