Does anyone know if Stanford University or UC Berkeley offers an undergraduate major in biochemistry?

  1. At UC Berkeley, the biggest biochemistry major was within molecular cell biology (MCB). The MCB major is divided into several branches, and students pick the one that suits them. I chose cell developmental bio. But biochemistry is there as biochemistry-molecular biology. It's known to be one of the hardest tracks in MCB. http://mcb.berkeley.edu

    There are also biochemistry branches within the plant molecular biology (PMB) major, but of course that is going to deal more with biochemistry relating to botany, microbiology and mycology.

    And Ranto mentioned earlier, there is a biochemistry wing within the College of Chemistry.

    Stanford offers graduate degrees in biochemistry -- but as an undergraduate you would have to major in biology or chemistry.  You could probably take several classes in biochemistry, thoguh
