  1. No way.

If you listened to the Spanish news, you would not want to.

Even if you could, I would advise against it. Kids are dying daily on the roads here.

Although driving has improved with the recent points on your licence system for misdemenours, many Spaniards still drive like idiots. You really need to be an experienced driver to handle it anyway.

  2. No.  To hire a car here in Spain you need to be 21 years old.

  3. Some rental companies have a min age of 23 as well..so be careful..you also need a credit card, and an international drivers license.. it's not a myth. you can be heavily fined here.

Don't be discouraged if you can't get a car here.. the bus and train service is excellent here and it's really cheap.

  4. Hi I have worked in the car hire business for 7 years now. (alicante area) You might find a local company that will rent you a car (illegaly). As most of the others have said you need ot be over 21. if you do manage to hire a car ( i doubt it) please make sure you read all of the small print and make sure you ask to see what the insurance covers. You might find that the company hire youthe car but then you are not covered at all by the insurance.

  5. No, sorry. No car rental will accept anybody younger than 21.

  6. Absolutely no. Don't waste your time trying to hide a car under 18 year-old.

  7. When you land at Alicante, as you go through to the meeting area, just before there is an area with four different rental companies. Yes there shouldnt be a problem, as long as you have a driving licence.

  8. No, you are too young. You must be at least 21 years of age.

  9. youll be lucky to find one and if you do it will be a fortune, but try auto europe, its like a comparison site, they deal with all car hire companies in the world but you do the booking through them

  10. In Spain theres a lot of companies to hire cars... but you need to have your license more than five years ago and be able to drive in the European Union... and I think you come from New Zealand so maybe you have problems to hire the car.
