My hubby and I are attending a concert at Soldier Field (Chicago) on Saturday, 6/21. We are new to this area. We plan to take public transportation to Olgivie Station and we were wondering if we caught a cab from Olgivie to Soldier Field if the cab driver will be allowed to deliver us to Soldier Field. Also, what is the availability of cabs taking passengers away from Soldier Field. In other words, once we get ready to leave will we have problems finding a cab?

  1. Check with Chicago Transit authority. there may be bus service available.

  2. There are generally no restrictions as to where cabs can take people. A cab, no matter where you get in, should be able to take you anywhere you want to go.

Where cabs can pick fares up, however, is tightly regulated. Cabs may only pick up fares in cities where they are licensed.

Many cabs are licensed to pick up fares in the city of Chicago, and you should have no trouble getting one at Soldier Field. Drivers know when and where the events are, and dozens of them will undoubtedly be cruising the area when you leave.

    Me. Former cab driver.
