better question is where don't they live... they're stocked in many places to control vegetation in lakes..

Steve is right. There are plenty of Carp here in many lakes and local canals. Go after the non-native species (grass carp) , these fish get huge and are alot of fun on light tackle. ~good luck catchin'.

Yeah, there's some pretty big carp... Caught a 15-20 lb grass carp today.

They're used for keeping lakes and ponds clean.
