Does anyone know if claires can do gauged piercings?

not huge gauges. but just.. bigger that what one normally gets.

like 16 or 18 gauge?

You don't get gauged piercings.  You gauge the piercings you already have.  Go get some stretchers from Hot Topic.

No, they do just basic ear piercing and cartilage but not anything more complicated than that.

if u r gauging ur lobe only, id say do it at home. i pierced and gauged my own ears and they came out 100% fine. go 2 hot topic and buy sum tapers and do it urself. im at a 1/2 inch. but if ur doin any cartilage, its really easy 2 snap it.

20g and 18g are pretty much both standard. And if you want piercings that are done properly, don't go to a mall store. They use guns, which are the epitome of unsafe piercing.

You're better off at home with a rusty nail. Go to a professional place if you really care, or sterilize a needle and use that. After it heals, then go to wherever and get a 16g and put it through. It's really not that much of a stretch at all.

you don't really need to gauge your lobes if your getting a size that small, if you've had the piercings for a while chances are you can fit the earring in without having to use tapers
