  4. He did not. He did sign the Constitution since he served as the presiding officer of the Constitutional Convention. But, he was not a delegate to the conference which adopted and issued the Declaration.

    after post remarks .. yes, i know that he was not president at the time it was signed.    lol   just thought i would add that bit about him being our first president as i think it is the fact that he was our first president that leads some people into getting this answer wrong.
