  1. If they are forged they can be adjusted, but it depends on the amount as to how many times, I have had my Mizunos adjusted twice.

  2. Cast clubs can MAYBE be bent 2 degrees, if you're lucky.  Most people will not bend cast clubs without the customers agreement that if the club snaps, the club bender is not responsible.  Forged clubs can be bent 4 to 5 degrees, but I've bent them as much as 6 degrees.

  3. little harder to do/if not impossible for non forged

pretty sure there's an absolute limit but not something short

like bending aluminum on the same spot over and over and over. eventually it breaks. depends on the tensile str.

  4. Higher quality clubs wether forged or cast will bend and bend again. However, lower quality clubs use a cheaper alloy and the alloy is rendered in a different process therefore it makes the club more brittle. For instance, the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Studio (Tiger's putter) can be bent all the way around and back again. The alloy and forging process of this clubhead makes it soft without too much "air" in the mix. Meaning the particles are bonded better(this happens in the process of rendering). Through this process you attain a very pliable metal alloy. My suggestion is to take a look in your local yellow pages. Look for a custom club maker. Normally there is one or two that makes their own clubs on-site in your area independently. Take your clubs to that person and have them tell you what's what about bending them. They will know for sure.

  5. Yeah, it depends on the irons. A set of forged clubs actually need to have their lie angle and loft checked every 6-12 months with regular play, and adjusting them regularly will really have no affect on their longevity. On the other hand, many cast irons (which is what most clubs are) are too brittle to withstand regular adjustments. Some club makers and repair shops will not touch certain irons because changing the loft or lie angle even once could crack them.
