Does anyone know if it's cheaper to rent a car in Dublin at the airport or in the city?

I'm flying into Dublin mid-August and need to rent a car. Since everyone says that Dublin is best seen when walking, I was going to wait to rent the car when I'm ready to leave to tour the rest of the country. But, I don't know if it's cheaper to rent a car at the airport or at one of the city locations.

It would be much more convenient to get one in town as well as probably less expensive seeing as there would be less demand there.  Also if you factor in the cost of getting all the way back out to the airport it will most likely work out cheaper in town!

Works out at basically the same price nomatter where you go as there is so much competition.

Debbie, id go with renting from a city location. i dont think id recommend getting one from the airport unless you're getting a deal on it with your travel agent! you'll get cheaper the more you shop around...and in my opinion a lot of people will be looking for them at the airport (and they know this) and so it will be more expensive. its up to you, but thats my opinion.
