I started incuabting chicken eggs 4/22 and they are due to hatch on 5/12. My friend just gave me turkey eggs to incubate in the same incubator. The turkey eggs won't hatch until 28 days form today 5/5. Is it safe to have the turkey eggs incubating while the chickens hatch? Will the chicks poke at or harm the turkey eggs?

  1. Chickens and Turkeys are not safe.

    BIRD FLU HELLO!!!

    Just kidding.

    Anyways.

Incubating them together shouldn't prove a problem as long as you sort them when they hatch =]

    Because I just might eat them . . .

  2. The incubator won't know the difference.

  3. You should be OK, just take the chickens out as they hatch and roughly clean up as much as you can without losing much heat. Save the sterile clean up until the turkeys have hatched. The chicks are not going to bother the other eggs.
