Does anyone know if one can do an English Major at a University in Merida Venezuela?

I'm sure you can. ULA is a very good university. A friend of mine studied English there. I guess it was as a second language though. Is there a difference at that level?

ULA (Universidad de los Andes)  does not have a major in English but it offers a major in modern languages witch will be English and French and of course Spanish. You can go to this website (if you do a yahoo search you can also translate it into English), click on pregrado (undergraduate), then click on (Humanities, Arts and letters). Not in English per se, you can do a major in Modern Languages and that includes English, Spanish, French and Italian. Check the web site (www.ula.ve) and see.
