Does anyone know if; or how, I can get Hoodia seeds or cuttings?

I would like to try to grow Hoodia here on the island of Oahu. I saw it on T.V, it's supposed to help control appetite. I know it's from Africa, but it's hot and sorta dry here too,on the backside of Diamond Head crater were I live.

The genus Hoodia contains 13 species; most of them are protected, therefore not allowed to be sold.

Some are cultivated as garden plants and seeds or young plants should be available.
