Does anyone know if the BMW 1 Series is getting another mini-facelift in 2009?

When I was test driving one a few weeks ago, the dealer said he'd heard that there were going to be a few changes made in 2009. I'd love to buy one, but not if there's a new and improved one coming out a few months down the line! Can't find out any more information on the web, so was wondering if anybody else knew what's going on.

  1. They most likely will not do anything major. The 3-Series stayed the same from 2006 to 2008, the 5-Series stayed the same from 2004-2008, the 7-Series stayed the same from 2002-2005, the X3 stayed the same from 2004-2006, and the X5 stayed the same from 2004-2006. most likely expect a change in 2010.

But, I would buy this year's model because it is very symbolic for BMW bringing the 1-Series to the US. You can tell because right above the area where you click to start the engine, it says "First year of the 1." I think that is kind of interesting.

    Good Luck

  2. 1 series and 318 BMW are just to say i have a bmw like porsche and the boxter and mercedes and the kompressor just save up for a 3 series it is well worth it trust me... its just a 5000 difference and think about save a little more and you will be content instead of regretting it when you buy the 1 series..

  3. Go for a 3 series, nice cars.

  4. I don't think it will change that soon in the US for you to worry.

Also, I would suggest just pay a lil bit more and get the 3 series if you can. Its a much better car in the road test comparison reports that I have seen. Hope this helps.
