Does anyone know if the Guitar Hero 3 guitar will work for Guitar Hero 4 or Rock Band 2?

i have guitar hero 3 and i was thinking about getting number four and i wana know if the guitar will work for both

yeah it will, but the new guitars are super better, with the touch sensitive strip where u can slide, but it WILL work for GH4, not rock band tho, but rock band is g*y comparied to GH4

It Probably would be able to because you can use guitar hero and rock band guitars for the same game and its still the same plastic guitar so i think you probably can

yes, your guitar will work for 4. but if you have a ps3 and want rock band 2 you will need to buy a rock band guitar for it to work on ps3. the les paul won't work.  Nyko has released a PlayStation 3 version of their "Frontman" guitar controller that is compatible with both Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. you can find this on amazon.com
