I am a former chef and have worked with it and ohter gum pastes and they are vegan or vegetarian, it is mainly sugar, corn syrups/glucose, and a gum base, xanthan, guar, gum arabic or locust bean gum and a cellulose binder (wood fiber).

All the gums are plant based and the tiny bit of oil is a mineral base also, you add it to home made gumpaste to keep it pliable longer and for the sheen.
