I wanted to make a visit this Sunday, but wanted to make sure the trees are in full bloom. I'm bringing newbies and want to impress. If anyone has physically seen and could let me know, I'd gratefully appreciate...

  1. They're starting to bud (and a few blossom) at various points around the District. The National Parks Service has predicted peak bloom for Yoshino cherry trees around the Tidal Basin and East Potomac River during March 27-April 3.

The Yoshino cherry tree in our front yard is only just started to bud and should blossom by the weekend.

You should be good for this Sunday and hope for no rain or strong wind in the forecast. Unfortunately, the National Weather Service predicts thunderstorms on Friday!

  2. some are but not in full bloom. they should be in a couple of weeks thow.

  3. i just went there yesterday and some of them are bloomed but not all of them... its very cold and windy right now though :[

  4. They are starting but have not peaked.  This weekend won't be bad but it depends on the weather.  I would watch the weather, if he have a big storm it could beat down the blossoms.  Right now I would plan on coming up this weekend.
