Does anyone know if the gas that Safeway sells is so-caled "terror-free?"?

  1. There is no such thing as "terror-free".   ANY large corporation is going to have some shareholders that have bad intentions with their money.  I can almost guarantee that people with less-than-noble intentions have invested in mutual funds that own shares in Safeway.


  2. There isn't any way to know.  While Safeway may source its gasoline from "terror free" origins, it's more than likely stored at a terminal with other sources of fuel and when your local station gets a delivery, it's a mix of all those fuels.

    Mixed storage of gasoline is an everyday fact.  My stations are refilled by gasoline from different sources all the time.  Perhaps our traders exchanged product last month for product this month, maybe we were running short and just bought someone's excess inventory.  We also have regular contracted volume at other terminals, especially if we don't have any terminals nearby.  That gasoline is out of our control, but still lands up in our tanks.

  3. Well, unless it has a C-4 explosive charge in it I think It's pretty terrorist free O_o?
