Does anyone know if the getting a degree in the philippines generally would be valid in the uk or america ?

I am a student in england wondering if university in philippines would be an option. I basically want to knw if getting a degree in either engineering or law would be valid in england or america frm schools like atteneo de manila , U.P. or the UST? much help needed as i cant seem to find any websites to find my answer ????????????????

I work in education, and in general, if it is a proffesional qualification, then no, the philippines is not regarded as academic enough. you may however be able to have your degree or other qualifications, converted to english/american, through their national qualifications dept. Sorry ive forgotten their name, but type into google qualification conversion uk and it should bring up the site. It can cost a fair amount of money, dont get ripped off only use the actual national office or you could end up with a useless piece of paper, and a large dent in your bank account.


  2. I am not very sure about this but my dad got a degree from UP manila  and his degree is valid in USA. You should probably contact the university and wsk what kind of degree they have. Usually engr is 4 yrs degree everywhere and is valid in US and UK too. For Law you might have to take the bars here again if u study in Philipines
