Question:

Does anyone know if the name 'Cheza' actually means something in a certain language?

...or if it's short for anything?

Cheza is a fictional character from one of my favorite shows, and I was just curious to see if her name is being used by or given to people in the real world...but I couldn't find any background on it. (I don't actually have a kid that I plan on calling 'Cheza', so you don't need to pounce on me....)

It might just be made up, but I was wondering if it sounded similar to a word in a language you might be familiar with. Italian, Arabic, Japanese, a Native American language......

  1. Well i had a friend once who's step mom's name was Cheza, well it was spelled different but that's exactly how it was pronounced...Oh she was from Bosnia i dont know what it means but hope that gives you something to go on


  2. This name is short for Chezarina, the origin is italian and it is the feminine form of Cesar. :)  

  3. I think it could be short for Chasity.
