Does anyone know if the pt system workds in Paris on NY day and what is the quickest way to get from the Eifful Tower to the airport

New Years Eve you can expect the trains to run later in the evening than normal (maybe until 3-4 AM) since everyone will be out celebrating.

New Years Day (a national holiday) the trains will run, but they will be on a reduced schedule, maybe one every 15-20 minutes.  And they will not run very late (last trains around midnight).

Fastest way to Eiffel Tower from Charles de Gaulle (the main int'l airport) is to take the RER B to station Saint Michel Notre Dame.  Then take the RER C in direction Versaille - Rive Gauche or Saint Quentin en Yvelines.  Get off at station Champs de Mars Tour Eiffel, and you're done.

Yes it works. Moreover, they are more trains as there are more people this very day in Paris.
