Does anyone know if the restaurant Caveau des Ducs in Fontainebleau,France was really a tomb?

"Caveau" doesn't only mean "tomb" but also cellar (cave).

My guess, after havind had a look at the website of the restaurant plus at the tourism website of the county, is that it was more a "stockage cellar" than a tomb.

They were stocking wines and amunitions.

But that's only a guess.
