This is a service I have never used before. I don't know if there's a charge for it or what. Anyway, if I use the service, & if somebody calls my home telephone number will it show up on my computer while I am using the internet that someone is trying to call me through Grandcentral? I hope not! I like to keep some things private & this is one of them!! I have family members that live here with me & don't want them to know EVERYTHING BECAUSE SOME THINGS ARE PRIVATE!!

  1. no, its still free! if you sign up, then you get 10 invites to give to your friends and family....so don't just waste your invites...

  2. Currently, GrandCentral is in Beta development cycle.  While in Beta it is free to use and test with limited free calling minutes for testing.  However, they are only issueing limited phone numbers while in beta.  I have had a number for about six months now.

GC will assign you a USA area code phone number.

You can configure GC to forward and ring to any telephones you decide.  If you give your home phone, number as a forwarding number, then of course it will ring there - but that is your option to enable or disable.

You can have your calls go directly to Voice-Mail and notify you of Voice Messages via Email or SMS.

    It is very customizable.
