Does anyone know if there are any charity shops in the UK that accept tv's?

  1. Normally charity shops won't accept electrical items as before they could re-sell them they would have to be tested to see if they are safe to sell, this would cost money and so not be cost effective.

    If you have a t.v which you feel may still have life in it you could always try a local t.v repair shop, sometimes they may take them off your hands, or even sell it on e-bay. Finally if you can't sell it and have to dispose of it, get in touch with your local council who will be able to tell you where it can be recycled responsibly.

  4. sorry, as a regular donater to charity shops, i think you"ll find by law that there not allowed to accept any electrical items.

    you could try donating it on freecycle.com ( if you log in you can find your local group), and more info

  5. Oxfam did near me once. I don't know if they still do!
