I saw some internet articles about corrosion problem in 2002 engines...just curious if dual props are still having problems. I'm considering mercruiser 260 bravo III dual prop engine on a larson lxi228 bowrider? I'm considering Larson boats because they are within a mile of my cottage.

  1. the sacrificial anodes are there for that purpose,  to be replaced when corroded,  it protects the rest of the engine.

  2. the only corrosion you will have is the anodes that is normal wear and it is what they are designed for.

  3. In your application, I would consider the Bravo 1, and maybe a larger motor.

(An Alpha 1 would even work)

  4. have dual bravo 111 outdrives with twin props six years in saltwater, no problem. put on new anodes every year.
