Does anyone know if there is a U.S. Consulate office in New York?

I was born abroad and lost all my documents. I want to go to the consulate office instead of waiting 6 or more weeks to receive them in the mail. HELP!!

Embassies and consulates are representative offices to foreign countries; you will not find a US consulate inside the US.

What kind of documents are you looking for?  If you lost your US passport, you can apply for a replacement:

If you lost your FS-240 birth certificate, you can also get a new copy of it:

The FS-240 cannot be replaced by a US consulate overseas; we do not keep those records at posts.
