Does anyone know if there is a gateway store in lansing mi? i could have sworn i saw one there...?

You probably did see one there, but if so, it has been gone for a while.  Gateway closed all of its retail stores a few years ago.   Here's an old newspaper story on their decision to get out of the retail business:

Gateway now sells only through third-party retailers.  You can go to a place like Best Buy if you want a Gateway computer.

They are probably available at other large retailers as well. My own experience with Gateway has not been very good, however, so I don't recommend them.  I think there are better choices out there.  But of course that's up to you.
