  1. My local blood bank said they don't pay for blood any more. FDA rules say that blood used for transfusions cannot be "bought." Studies show that volunteer donors provide a safer quality of blood.

  2. I don't think even blood centers pay anymore. Sorry.

  3. I remember that there were several centers in San Antonio back in the 80s that paid you to give plasma (you got the platelets back for free). You could get donate twice a week (they used to pay ten bucks the first time a week and fifteen the second).

I did this from 1985 to 1987, twice a week. I was working nights and the extra hundred bucks a month came in handy. I just sat on a couch for an hour and a half and watched a movie or read a book.

    EDIT: I looked this up:

It appears that this center no longer pays for donations but does accept them. There are others.

  4. Look in Houston Emloyment Weekly Paper Circular on the back it has the name of a place that has 6 locations in town that they pay 30 dollars per visit.

all i can do is give you a web site to them

    www.HoustonPlasmaCenters.com

It looks to me that they are located in each corner of the city and in the center of the city
