You have to be fully qualified to take a pillion on a motor bike, that is all.

In Great Britain there are only 3 requirements for pillion passengers:

1)  They must wear a correctly fitted, CE approved crash helmet.

2)  Their feet must rest securely on the pillion pegs.

3)  If they are under 16 years of age, the rider must have permission from the pillion's parents to take them on the bike.

There is no minimum age for pillion passengers in the U.K.
