I'm specifically speaking of Kaufman and Henderson counties (Cedar Creek Lake area), except Athens. There are only 3 restaurants in the area that I know of that only remotely resemble cafeterias: Pop's Honey Fried Chicken (Seven Points, and Gun Barrel City); and Moon's Fried Chicken and Cafeteria in Kaufman. These are mini-cafeterias.
We need true cafeterias, in our area...for example, in the Cedar Creek Lake area. That's a prime location for this type of restaurant.....because most (or alot) of people in this area of retired (65+) age. They probably don't want to (or do much of) any cooking. So, a cafeteria would be a great idea.
The trouble is, I haven't heard anything about a cafeteria being put into the Cedar Creek Lake area or the Kaufman County area. Kaufman County would be a pretty good area...Kaufman or Terrell would be great locations for one.
Anyway, nobody has said anything about this. They need to, though.
If anyone has heard anything, I'd like to know.
