  1. They're safe if your goal is death.. Work as a charm...

  2. No, they are not safe.

If you are looking to lose weight, diet is not the only concern ... you must exercise as well. A half hour a day of some type of cardio will go a long way ... so find something you actually enjoy doing.

Eating 5 to 6 smaller meals per day will not only give you energy but prevents over eating as well as helps your metabolism.

Use lower fat dairy products, whole grain products and cut out all junk/fast and fried foods. Leaner meats are better as well.

Lastly, ask your doctor to refer you to a Nutritionist to talk about foods and consumption of foods. You'll be surprised by what you learn.

  3. IMO, those products are unsafe due to the high content of so many stimulating herbs and appetite suppressants.

  4. Pretty much no. With the exception of ephedrine, which is converted into amphetamine by your liver - and that causes some problems. Most of the weight loss products you can buy off a pharmacy shelf are sold as supplements and are neither regulated nor tested.

  5. Most of these either contain caffeine or various forms of ephedrine, like Ma Huang and ephedra herbs.  These drugs can raise your blood pressure, making them dangerous, and will make you nervous, also. I suggest staying away from the OTC drugs. A few prescription drugs do work, but not for very long.

You want to lose weight, you gotta reduce calories and increase exercise.
