Question:

Does anyone know if they make Doryx(Doxycycline) pills in dissolvable, chewable, etc. form???? ?

I'm the legal guardian of my little sister and it's a hassle trying to get her to swallow these.

  1. no...antibiotics shouldn't be chewed...so open her mouth and throw it down, shut her mouth and make her swallow it...or make her take the things like she's supposed to...( she's NOT the parent here, YOU ARE.)


  2. When I was about 12 and I needed to take antibiotics, my mother told me to put the pill as far back on my tongue as I felt comfortable doing. This minimizes the amount of effort you need to swallow the pill, which is important for a hesitant child.

    Make sure he/she drinks plenty of water while doing this, and it should work fine.

  3. I believe it comes in syrup form. Check with your doctor or pharmacist.
