  1. The Cansecos were the first I thought of -- Jose (1985-2001) and Ozzie (1990, '92-93), including being teammates on the 1990 Oakland A's.

But there have been eight other pairs, some of whom played concurrently.

    Overlapped careers:

    Ray (1920-24, '26) and Roy (1920) Grimes.

    Bubber (1920, '22, '26-27, '29, '35) and Claude (1921-24, '26, '29) Jonnard.

    Damon (2000-02, '04) and Ryan (1998-2001) Minor.

    Eddie (1953, '55-58) and Johnny (1953, '55-59) O'Brien. Teammates on the 1953 and 1955-58 Pittsburgh Pirates.

Joe (1915) and Red (1915, '17-21, '26) Shannon. Teammates on the 1915 Boston Braves.

    Didn't overlap:

    Stan (1980) and Stew (1984-85, '88) Cliburn.

Marshall (1981-83) and Mike (1977-80) Edwards. Another non-twin brother, Dave, also played in the majors (1978-82); he was about 18 months younger.

Bill (1912) and George (1909-10) Hunter.

  2. I don't think so but there have been brothers playing MLB at the same time. Jason Giambi (NYY) played his brother Jeremy Giambi (BOS) a few times while Jeremy played with the MLB. Most Sox fans hated Jason, and visa verse because of the relationship. Now that Jeremy retired and Jason is still playing, Red Sox fans don't hate him as much; though, I wouldn't say they like him, either. It's the New York-Boston rivalry, I wouldn't say the like each other.

  3. Jose and Ozzie Canseco (A's and Cardinals)

  4. Actually there have been 9 sets of twins.

  5. Not twins, but the SF Giants once started all three Alou brothers (Matty, Felipe, and Jesus) in the outfield.
