Does anyone know in canada if a 10 year old in care can decide to not see their parent?

I have my 10 year old cousin in my care, I have interm custody of her. Its going on 2years now. Her mom is an addict and always pulls guilt trips and makes her feel horrible and she has now said she does not want to have anything to do with her mom.

  1. i was always on the understanding the kids had all the rights not the parents but im not 100% 4 canada


  2. yes as if she or he  does not want to they will not force the child to go i experience it with my grandchild. it is about them not you, i am not saying you are not counted you are, also depends on situation they will have someone go with them. if child says no they will not force them good luck
