  1. Apparently it is a recognised side effect

  2. Mines was itchy when I first got it put in and around the area was sore.  The tingling I can only imagine the doctor has possibly touched a nerve or its moved slightly (it will do before it settles) and its touched a nerve.  My arm was sore for about a week but you have to remember someone has forced a foreign body into your arm so if it doesnt settle then go back to see the doctor who inserted it.

  3. The soreness is the disturbed muscle tissue. The tingling is the disturbed nerves. Don't knock it for a month or so or you'll hit the ceiling. The removal is the worst bit. That is painful. My wife's just had hers out and the bruising was 4" diameter!

  4. i would advise you go back to were you had it implanted... it could turn out to be an infection or something... its better safe than sorry... good luck! n congratulation on having your baby. x

  5. When I first had implanon put in, I had a lot of local irritation but it did go away after a few weeks.  It was very sore and itchy and the muscle felt tender also.

It did disappear so I wouldn't worry too much.
