Does anyone know much about jury duty?

Dred, u all know dat I coming home September 6th rite, so why did I just get a letter saying I have to come to Jury Duty september 3rd? Are they serious? I just senn back d form with 2 alternative dates. I done buy up my ticket already dred.. If my ticket is already paid for, would they give me an alternate date?

Will i sure Jules not ah priest, otherwise he would be in confessions every day!! and ah know he working in ah office....so Jules email meh and tell meh why you will never have to go on jury service nah.   and whether it have vacancies by where you working, and d salary!

Don't know about the laws there but l hope it works out for you. Here ah know if yuh get call, and yuh ain't want to serve, the day when they picking, yuh just have to act kinda dotish and they sending yuh home flying. I've never been summoned but ah friend ah mine tell me dais what she did. I might actually be interested just to see what it's about.

hmm Friggy.....if you already have your ticket let them know that you are unavailable...im not sure how the system there work though ......if all else fail when questions are being directed to you in your heavy trini accent keep responding to them by saying "ah sure they is a d**n liar.....all of them does be guilty" hehehe or "im not God its not up to me to judge my fellow brothers and sisters " lol

The dreaded jury duty. I have never been called for it and I pray I never will. But from what I hear they are pretty flexible if you  give advanced notice about your schedule.

only that people always trying to duck from it. have never been summoned myself but i have an uncle that has been called two three times already!

i think if you can prove that your ticket was purchased beforehand (like a copy of the receipt) they should have no problem giving you an alternative date. it's not like is a doctor's note saying you have a case of 24 hour <insert favourite flu name here>   (like hijab, Dhanraj, Dole etc).

Its kinda the same here and there is a hotline number you call to find out if you on the list and you can give a reason why you should not serve. Its no big deal

Hmmm u try to trick me Frigg I thought u say u wasn't coming, Sept 6th hmmm U sure u dont want me to pick u up in d airport babes? I could come is no scene dais a Saturday.

Oh and just so that allyuh know heh heh heh .... I go never ever ever get ah jury duty so take that in allyuh rookoons as TS go say.

Ask thinker why she should know why certain people doh get call, nuff said.
