Does anyone know of Recieving money from the Department of Health for going to college?

I've been told that a college student on the Hope Grant is able to apply for TANF, or something at DHR and receive money for going to college.

I was wondering if anyone has any answers to that, or happens to know anything.

Yes there is help thru the deparment of Family services. You will need to contact a case worker thru the department of community based services, take all your loans and grants alone with a budget and all paperwork that has to deal with FA or money used for college. It is hard to get the assistance, but you have to stick with it and do everything you are ask, it will really help you out in the long run if you get it.

Go back and get to know the requirments before you apply, and make sure that you meet them in accordance with your state. Most are hard to get, you will have to fight and work to get it. The main thing is dont take no for an answer, go after the requirments make sure you meet them and then re apply and then ask of an appeal of the decison of the case worker.
