Does anyone know of a REALLY cheap place to stay in London for my boyfriend and I?

I'm looking for a cheap place to stay in London. I've been looking at some hostels around there. It's for my boyfriend and I were backpacking with limited funds mine are VERY limited haha so anything will help!

  6. I'd say there is no such animal.  At least, it depends on what you mean by REALLY cheap.

    If you are willing to slum it in a nasty hostel and are okay sharing dorms with perhaps 10 other people.  You can maybe get as low as £25 ($50) total for the two of you, per night.

    Personally, for that level of accommodation, I don't consider that REALLY cheap.  I consider it a rip off.  But then I would never stay in a hostel for any reason.

Book a hostel as quickly as you can.  They fill up fast.  If you can't book a hostel and are still looking when you arrive.  Check out one of the kiosks in the Tube.  When I went some years ago there was a kiosk with a person inside that had super cheap rates on nice hotels.  They called local hotels that were trying to fill their rooms and for a low rate booked me a reservation.

    There are plenty of hostels in London from £10 a night/person. May not be the fanciest places you have seen though.

    They are all over London so see if anything is in a location that suits you.

  10. youth hostels are good but usually girls and boys are separated, just so you know. you can also try meeting people at bars and mentioning you need a place to stay for a night. people sometimes enjoy taking in travellers. If you hitchhike it increases your chances of getting invited for tea or something.
